Surprise!

     Jim got a big surprise for his June 1 birthday. Friday, he rode along with Doug to pick up a “friend” at the airport. To his surprise, there were Geoff, Stephanie and Marcy! They came from Long Beach to help him celebrate his big 70! That was one happy Dad, that was.

The only thing that could have been better is if “everyone” was there. He misses those other grandkids.

We had a great weekend together.

We made a new friend,Trey. Brianna showed us how to get a butterfly to perch on your finger.

We visited The Arch.

And just enjoyed being together.

We visited a raptor rescue/sanctuary…after some more great food

    

How big is an eagles nest? Really big!

     

Do you remember our kids’ book Verdi? He was there! Doesn’t even look real. He is…he blinked!

    

We visited the Grand Union Station Hotel.

    

    

We had a wonderful dinner at Landry’s…after feeding the fish

A great weekend. Monday came too soon as we kissed our LB kids goodbye for now.
